Working groups are currently being established.

Bridging the Gap between Electronics and Medicine Workgroup

Some of the focus areas include:

  • Facilitate collaboration between microelectronics, the medical industry, and regulatory bodies through joint forums to drive innovation.
  • Create resources and community where clinicians, scientists and engineering can have open discussions about upcoming advances in semiconductor technology, challenges and needs in MedTech.
  • Explore the landscape of wearable technology in relation to innovation and road to adoption in healthcare to understand barriers and challenges.

Supply Chain & Emerging Technologies Workgroup

Initial focus areas include:

  • Risk management strategies for geopolitical and regional disruptions
  • The traceability of subsystems and components in medical electronics devices
  • Mapping existing supply chain to identify pain points

The Role of AI in MedTech Workgroup:

AI's transformative impact on diagnostics, drug discovery, personalized treatment, and operational efficiency. Ethical considerations include transparency, data privacy, bias mitigation, and human oversight. Collaboration and interdisciplinary conferences are key takeaways.
