Our Mission
FOA is a Technology Community semiconductor fabs and suppliers who meet regularly to discuss and act on common manufacturing issues, combining strengths and resources to improve overall efficiency and stay competitive. For over 15 years, FOA has supported collaboration between 200mm (and smaller) fabs and suppliers, and the organization has doubled in size over the past three years (2023–2025) to include 50 IDMs and 100 suppliers. It delivers strong member value through networking with top-level decision makers, collaborative problem solving, and task forces focused on areas such as EE & MM, HR, AI/ML, and IE. Members also benefit from survey services to benchmark against peer fabs, a spare parts network that enables mutual support during tool downtime, and comprehensive fab operations benchmarking data that is widely used for annual planning. In addition, FOA offers technical webinars driven by member priorities and established the Quality Benchmarking Consortium (QBC) in 2025. The FOA community has three face-to-face meetings per year, that provide suppliers with in-person opportunities to engage with high-level decision-makers from over 30 fabs and discuss potential business, and help fabs learn about the latest technology, discuss pre-competitive common issues, etc.
