- Workforce Development

As the global semiconductor landscape continues to evolve, Vietnam is positioning itself for a promising future in the semiconductor industry.

Vietnam's semiconductor market is set to hit US$18.23 billion in 2024, with a robust CAGR of 11.48%, resulting in a market volume of US$31.39 billion by 2029. Driven by the government's ambitious plans to ascend the global semiconductor value chain, the market's growth prospects are brighter than ever.

Formerly known as the Vietnam Business Summit (VBS), the newly branded SEMIExpo Vietnam will be a pivotal event, exploring opportunities for businesses across the semiconductor value chain, from assembly and testing, to fabless/design. This premier event will highlight how local players can elevate Vietnam’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain. Attendees can look forward to a comprehensive 2-day event, including conferences, exhibitions, workshops, business matching programs, and industry networking sessions. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of Vietnam's semiconductor revolution and connect with key players in the industry.

OFFICIAL - VIETNAM TO GRANT E-VISAS TO ALL FOREIGN ARRIVALS FROM 15TH AUGUST 2023

What is Vietnam’s e-Visa?

To initiate the e-visa application process, non-nationals can access the dedicated e-visa web portal of the National Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security, accessible at this LINK.

To access and print their approved e-visas, travellers can utilize the official online platform at this LINK.
This portal provides a user-friendly interface for easy retrieval and documentation of the e-visa.

The Government has decided to issue e-visas to all foreign arrivals at 52 ports of entry from August 15 2023, according to its Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023.
This is a major change that will make it much easier for foreign tourists and business travelers to visit Vietnam. Previously, e-visas were only valid for 30 days, which was not enough time for many people to see all that Vietnam has to offer. The new 90-day validity period will allow visitors to stay longer and explore more of the country.

In addition to the longer validity period, the new e-visas will also be valid for multiple entries. This means that visitors can enter and exit Vietnam as many times as they want within the 90-day period. This is a great benefit for people who want to visit multiple cities or destinations in Vietnam.

Click HERE to apply for e-VISA

Click HERE to check application status and download E-Visa.

Fees
- US$ 25/single-entry electronic visa

Agenda is subject to change.

- Workforce Development

Despite global challenges, Vietnam's economy exhibited remarkable resilience and adaptability in 2022, positioning the country as a beacon of stability and growth.

With a combination of robust domestic consumption, thriving manufacturing sectors, and strategic policies, Vietnam strengthened its economic foundations and drive sustainable development. In 2022, Vietnam recorded GDP growth of 8.02% (source: Reuters), as the economy rebounded strongly from the economic disruption.

Businesses in Vietnam enjoy low tariffs and export access to top markets such as the European Union, U.S., Japan and Australia due to its 14 Free Trade Agreements with more than 50 economies globally.

Organized by SEMI Southeast Asia, the Vietnam Business Summit will explore how you can promote and grow your business and the electronics and semiconductor industry in Vietnam while strengthening Southeast Asia’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem.

  • Attending the Women in Semiconductor Conference was an incredibly empowering experience. There is something uniquely impactful about coming together with other women who understand the challenges and opportunities of our industry. The conference created space for honest conversations, meaningful networking, and a sense of community. It is a reminder that we are not alone, and that together, we can drive change and support one another in powerful ways. (WiS 2025 attendee)

Who attends WiS? Company leaders, managers, team members, HR professionals, academia and students. We encourage attendance by everyone who is interested in building a stronger, more dynamic semiconductor ecosystem, and by anyone who is responsible for developing internal or external programs to support women.

Everyone is welcome to attend! If you have questions about any WiS activities, sponsorship and/or other SEMI Foundation initiatives, please email [email protected].  Or complete our interest form. We invite you to sign the Allyship Pledge.
