BIOGRAPHY
My name is Christopher Nelson, I am a Maintenance Supervisor for EMD Electronics in the Megasys department. I have been in the industry for 22 years. During my tenure, I have held numerous roles from an operations technician, lead technician, project coordinator, and up to supervisor. I have achieved and been a part of many accomplishments such as new system development, new process start-ups, complete fab demos, and new system construction for the semiconductor industry. For the past 2 years, I have built a team and led them to achieve zero safety and quality incidents. I have been a part of a recruiting team, visiting local colleges where I enjoy talking with future candidates about my experience and journey with the company. During my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, BBQ, and spending time in the outdoors where fishing and hunting are my passion.
EMD has made me feel very valued. EMD has allowed me to grow and learn within the company. I am not talking about growth in terms of money or positions, but opportunities to learn new skills and feel challenged. EMD is a company that cares about its employees and invests in their professional development. I have been 100% supported in my career development which has broadened my horizons to take on new challenges and explore new options and job opportunities within the company.
