This prestigious award recognizes individuals whose pioneering work has not only pushed the boundaries of scientific knowledge but also contributed to real-world advancements in the semiconductor industry.
This award celebrates those whose dedication and vision have shaped the future of semiconductors while fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and government.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the award, nominees are expected to have demonstrated the following:
- Innovative Research: Pioneering research that introduces novel methodologies, materials, or technologies in semiconductor design, manufacturing, or packaging.
- Impactful Applications: Contributions that significantly advance the performance, scalability, or efficiency of semiconductor devices, benefiting industries such as computing, telecommunications, healthcare, automotive, or consumer electronics.
- Academic Leadership: Leadership in mentoring the next generation of engineers and scientists in the semiconductor field, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborative Impact: Successful partnerships with industry, government, or interdisciplinary teams that have resulted in meaningful technological or commercial breakthroughs.
- Publications and Recognition: A strong portfolio of peer-reviewed publications, patents, or other professional acknowledgments that highlight the professor’s influence and excellence.
The SEMI Academia Impact Award will be presented annually during the CxO Summit at SEMICON Europa, a leading gathering for industry, government, and academia stakeholders in the semiconductor sector.
Award recipients will receive:
- A commemorative plaque
- Complimentary registration to SEMICON Europa in Munich, Germany
- An invitation to present their work at the Industry Strategy Symposium Europe (ISS Europe) in the following year
