What is ChipQuest?

The ChipQuest Challenge is a competition for all students from Grade 1 through PhD to create videos introducing the world of semiconductors to school children.

🎥 How to participate:

Create a two to five-minute video that:

Introduces the concept of semiconductors in a language that even the youngest minds can understand.
Highlights the indispensable role semiconductors play in our everyday lives, showcasing their real-world applications that shape our modern world.
Share fascinating facts or captivating demonstrations that show the magic behind semiconductor technology.

🧑‍🏫 Who can participate:

Open to all: We welcome videos from students from 1st grade all the way up to university level.
Multilingual: You can submit your video in the language you’re most comfortable with—German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, French, Polish or Portuguese—but please include English subtitles.

🗓️ Deadline: Submit your video anytime before September 25, 2026. Winners will be announced by the end of October 2026.

🎬 Tips for a great recording:

Plan your content: Outline what you'll say and do in the video to stay on track.
Good lighting: Make sure you film in a well-lit area. Natural light is best!
Clear audio: Find a quiet place to record and speak clearly.
Stable camera: Use a tripod or place your camera on a steady surface to avoid shaky footage.
Engaging visuals: Use props, drawings, or animations to make your video visually interesting.
Practice: Do a few practice runs to get comfortable and iron out any kinks.

Sponsoring companies' contribution:

Sponsoring companies will select the winner(s) to receive the following benefits:

Cutting-edge device: Winner(s) will receive a cutting-edge device provided by the sponsoring company, which will be purchased independently and given to the students during the company tour. The device should have a value worth up to 1,000 EUR and will be selected by the student.
Exclusive company tour: Sponsoring companies will offer an exclusive opportunity for winners to visit their facilities, including a tour.
Mentorship session: Sponsoring companies will provide a one-hour mentorship session, connecting the winner(s) with an experienced professional(s) from the company to provide career guidance.
