Women of the Fab Owners Alliance (WFOA)

MISSION

The Women of the Fab Owners Alliance (WFOA) is a network of women working within the semiconductor fab ecosystem. Our mission is to support women to achieve their full potential and to help attract and retain women within the industry through inclusive experiences, connections, and community.

PURPOSE

We recognize that there is a significant gender imbalance throughout the semiconductor industry; we also recognize that working in the fab ecosystem brings a set of unique experiences for women, and engagement of women in the FOA is particularly low. This group is designed to address this disparity and support both women and the FOA through building a stronger and more inclusive FOA community. This includes engaging and empowering a network of allies within and beyond the FOA.

Benefits of joining WFOA

All women working within the FOA member community (device makers and suppliers) are welcome to join this group. Opportunities include:

  • Participating in WFOA programs at FOA meetings
  • Networking gatherings at SEMICONs and other events
  • Shaping FOA programming to better support women
  • Participating in the Women of the FOA Council
  • Mentoring (or being mentored by) other WFOA members, within and across FOA member companies
  • Planning for the future of the WFOA
  • Bringing ideas from the WFOA community back to our own member companies
