ECDA Gathers Leaders in Eindhoven to Build an Inclusive, Future-Ready Semiconductor Workforce

BRUSSELS, Belgium – September 2, 2025 – The European Chips Diversity Alliance (ECDA), a European Union-funded initiative coordinated by SEMI Europe, will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and professionals at the Inclusive Chips Forum – Designing the Difference on September 16, 2025Registration is open.

esdaHosted at High Tech Campus 1 – The Strip 5656 AE Eindhoven The Netherlands and organized by Platform Talent voor Technologie, this full-day event will explore how inclusive workforce strategies can drive innovation, resilience, and competitiveness across the Dutch and European chip ecosystem.

According to research cited by EudaOrg, inclusive companies earn 2.5 times more revenue per employee and are 35% more productive than peers with less diverse workforces (Research and Markets). A 2021 Manufacturing Institute study warned that by 2030, 2.1 million jobs could go unfilled in manufacturing if hiring and retention trends continue. This is especially critical as 83% of Gen Z candidates report that a company’s commitment to inclusion is a deciding factor when choosing an employer (Monster survey).

“Events like the Inclusive Chips Forum are vital to building the semiconductor industry’s resilience and competitiveness,” said Laith Altimime, President of SEMI Europe. “By embracing equity and inclusion, we open the door to new perspectives, innovations, and talent that will secure Europe’s leadership in microelectronics for decades to come.”

The program will feature Dutch initiatives such as the Beethoven Project, as well as ECDA-led initiatives including research and training modules on fostering inclusion in industry. A panel discussion will address navigating inclusion challenges in policy, education, and industry.

Stakeholders from across Europe are invited to register and join the conversation on building a more diverse, innovative, and future-ready semiconductor workforce.
