Driven by SEMI and a team of passionate executives, Pact for Skills will significantly support the European ambitions on microelectronics design and manufacturing supporting the acceleration of critical developments, and maneuvering towards a more resilient Europe. The Pact for Skills program aims to provide the long-term diverse talent and skills pipeline by connecting training competence centers, universities, schools, and industries, on a regional and national level to create effective and widely accessible (online as well as vocational) learning platforms for upskilling and reskilling on microelectronics in Europe.
With a clear focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in all activities and programs we will deploy, we continuously strive for a well-balanced participation and representation of the entire population of the EU in all microelectronics and STEM related areas. An inherent part of the approach will be to develop and use unconscious bias checks to learn how to best achieve this goal.
Supported by a European-wide microelectronics awareness campaign and programs on Diversity and Inclusion, Pact for Skills will significantly support the European ambitions on microelectronics design and manufacturing to double Europe’s market share by 2030 as laid out in the European Chips Act.
