Our business partners at Messe Munich have informed SEMI that they have made the decision, with the approval of their advisory board, to cancel the electronica 2020 physical event and move towards a digital format. While an in-person trade fair could have been conducted safely with their safety and hygiene concept, the recent developments related to increased travel restrictions across Europe led to their decision.
Consequently, with the approval of the SEMI Europe Advisory Board, we have made the decision to cancel SEMICON Europa 2020.
We will take this as an opportunity to create a differentiated digital forum with innovative, valuable content to encourage global participation. In acknowledgment of the support and effort already invested by our industry committee members to put together top-notch content and speakers for SEMICON Europa 2020, SEMI Europe plans to deliver this content as the key pillars of this digital forum.
Our new digital forum will build on the global footprint of SEMI and gather top executives, speakers and exhibitors from around the globe. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
