Speech Abstract

As the ongoing transition toward net-zero emissions, the adoption of user-owned renewable and distributed energy resources are rapidly booming. Microgrids are emerging as a key solution for enhancing power system resilience and enabling islanding operation. Under the theme “From Energy Integration to Autonomous Operation,” this forum will explore microgrid key technologies and international development trends. The forum will highlight grid-connected and islanded operation, seamless transition, and grid-forming control. This forum will also explore how the autonomous operation, and coordinated control enable resilient power supply under diverse operating scenarios and extreme events. Through technological integration and innovation, microgrids are evolving from distributed energy integration platforms into autonomous and resilient energy systems, playing a critical role in the transition from net-zero energy toward resilient power system.
