Announcement of SEMI Japan Tutorial Series

By SEMI Japan

SEMI Japan is pleased to announce the third annual SEMI Japan Tutorials. The following four tutorials will be available on-demand over a two-month period from September 1 to October 31, 2023. All content is provided in Japanese, but if you are interested, please contact SEMI Japan Staff.

SEMI S2 Explanatory Seminar

SEMI S2 is a widely adopted guideline that provides environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance standards for semiconductor manufacturing equipment around the world. The course content is designed to help participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the material that may be difficult to grasp solely through reading, or that they may want to explore in greater depth. (For more information, click here).

SEMI Software Standard "SECS/GEM" Seminar

The SEMI communication standard known as ’SECS/GEM’ is an essential component of the front-end process in semiconductor manufacturing. In this course, key members of the standard development team provide a systematic explanation of SECS/GEM, including its background, development, and revision history. The course places particular emphasis on the use of diagrams to aid comprehension. (For more information, click here)

SEMI Software Standard "GEM300" Seminar

This seminar provides an explanation of the communication standard that defines the specifications for the function-by-function automatic operation of 300 mm equipment, based on the practical experience of equipment and production line systems that have been implemented to date. General Trends in Chemicals Regulation

In recent years, chemical substance regulations in Europe and the U.S. tend to strengthen the grouping of bisphenols and PFAS into a single set of regulations. These trends have a global impact and must be closely monitored. The impact of these regulations is far-reaching, from upstream to downstream in the supply chain, so it is becoming increasingly important to share information on the supply chain.

This tutorial will provide an overview of the chemical substance control policies and related regulations in Europe and the United States. It is becoming increasingly important to share supply chain information not only on chemical substances, but also on chemical substances contained in parts and molded products. We hope this tutorial will be a valuable resource for acquiring a diverse range of information. (For more information, click here)
