SEMI Standards - IRDS - UPM Collaboration
SEMI will announce the release of the first Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) Metrology suite of Standards for leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing at the upcoming Ultrapure Micro (UPM) conference taking place November 9-11, 2020. UPM is the premier annual event focusing on micro contamination and water and wastewater management in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Read more about the SEMI Standards roadmap for CMP Consumables Metrology article here.
Along with the help of our expert co-moderating team from technology suppliers and end-users, including Intel, Samsung Austin Semiconductor, and GLOBALFOUNDRIES, UPM has expanded its focus to include broader micro contamination issues with presentations focusing on UPW, water management & wastewater treatment, ultra-high-performance chemicals, high-purity gases and airborne molecular contamination (AMC), a new subject matter for this year. In line with key areas of the IRDS roadmap, UPM’s 2020 agenda will bring the discussion closer to the wafer and will encourage the industry-wide efforts to enable yield and to embrace proactive technology management.
It is now more important than ever to encourage communication and collaboration within the industry. Ultrapure Micro strives to drive the semiconductor manufacturing industry forward, in collaboration with the SEMI International Standards Program. We’d like to invite you to take part in the dialogue exploring high purity environments and water management for the microelectronics industry, to meet old friends, make new connections, discover solutions, and hear about cutting edge research helping to shape the future of the industry.
