SEMICON Japan Standard Awards
By Hirofumi Kanno, SEMI Japan
The SEMI International Standards Program is operated in all major electronics manufacturing regions including Americas, Europe, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China to increase the manufacturing efficiency and interoperability. Over 5,000 volunteers representing over 2,000 companies work in 21 global technical committees and over 200 task forces to find solutions to common technology challenges.
The awards ceremony was held at the SEMI Standard Friendship Party & Awards Ceremony at SEMICON Japan 2022.
The SEMI Japan Standards Awards recognize individuals or groups that have made outstanding contributions to standards activities and are the highest honor for SEMI standards in Japan.
SEMI Japan Standards Award Recipients
- Dr. Kyoichiro Asayama, JEOL Ltd.
- Mr. Tsuyoshi Onishi, Hitachi High-Tech Corporation
As the co-leaders of the Japan Electron Microscopy Workflow Liaison Task Force under the Japan Physical Interface & Carrier Technical Committee, Dr. Asayama and Mr. Onishi demonstrated excellent teamwork with the North America Physical Interface & Carrier Technical Committee. Important tasks in the activity were assigned to the Japan Electron Microscopy Workflow Liaison Task Force, and the entire team was rewarded with useful experimental data provided by this Task Force.
