The 50,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility houses its headquarters, R&D, product design and manufacturing operations under one roof. Its 15,000 sq. ft. clean room is fully equipped for enabling vertically integrated volume manufacturing, from wafer fabrication to test and packaging. We have an experienced team with deep know-how in InP semiconductors wafer processing. Inchfab is an ultra-low cost fabrication platform that aims to democratize the design and production of microelectronic devices. In today’s increasingly connected world, there is a growing demand for new micro- and nanoscale devices that fall outside conventional integrated circuit (IC) based electronics. These devices often require new materials and manufacturing processes that are not compatible with traditional, highly-standardized microfabrication avenues, thus creating a mismatch between demand and the current capabilities. Inchfab is a startup that spun out of Provost Schmidt’s lab at MIT to address this mismatch, which represents a multi-billion-dollar opportunity.
