TNO

TNO is the largest independent research institute in the Netherlands, with more than 5000 employees. The unit High Tech Industry carries out applied research for companies, with the aim to enhance the prosperity of our society. Within semiconductor technologies we are leading in contamination control, optics and optomechatronics, and systems engineering. We focus on lithography and metrology (acoustical, optical, SPM) equipment, especially prototyping, but also address microfluidics for in-chip cooling, PIC, and other domains. TNO was the first non-academic institute investing in quantum technologies, now building prototypes for quantum computing, solid-state quantum chips, quantum sensors, and much more.
