The Advanced Institute of Manufacturing with High-tech Innovations (AIM-HI) at National Chung Cheng University was established in 2011 as a premier research center for smart manufacturing systems. Located in Taiwan's precision machinery corridor, AIM-HI leverages strong industry partnerships to drive innovation in advanced manufacturing technologies. Since inception, the institute has secured continuous government funding through prestigious programs including the Ministry of Education's "Aim for the Top University Project" (2011-2017), the Higher Education Sprout Project, and the Ministry of Science and Technology's Featured Areas Research Center Program (2018-present). In 2023, AIM-HI was awarded another five-year grant as a Featured Research Center. AIM-HI serves as a bridge between academia and industry, advancing cutting-edge research in smart manufacturing while fostering technological innovation and talent development for Taiwan's manufacturing sector.
