Mie Prefectural Government

Located in central Japan, Mie Prefecture may be known for having rich culture and history, but it is also a concentrated region of leading manufacturing industries. There are a variety of industries, such automobiles and petrochemicals. The semiconductor industry is especially notable, however - Mie ranks #1 in the country for the value of manufactured goods shipments. Mie Prefecture is working to further expand its semiconductor industry through various incentive programs and partnerships with local companies possessing high technological capabilities.
