Lightsource bp was founded in 2010 with a focus to develop large-scale solar power for our world. In 2015, we began exploring international business opportunities across Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific. In 2017, we announced our partnership with bp, rebranding to Lightsource bp and setting out our shared mission to accelerate the deployment of solar power across the world. Our partnership with bp was the catalyst for more success, growing our business significantly. In 2024, bp fully acquired Lightsource bp, doubling its investment in us. We continue to innovate, invest, and push boundaries to drive the energy transition.
