Akita Innovations LLC

Akita is a small business located in northeast Massachusetts that develops and produces at small scale novel chemicals and materials, including materials for flexible/hybrid electronics. We design and synthesize small molecules, monomers, and polymers and also produce micro- and nanoparticles including polymer-coated particles. We produce feedstocks for the additive manufacture (3D printing) of elastomers and other speicialty materials. Most of our work is done with organic compounds but we produce certain inorganic and metal materials as well. Akita develops and produces coating fluids and cured coatings including optical materials and materials used for electronics, energetic materials, and life sciences instruments. We often assemble and lead teams including other companies, universities, and government labs. Akita has a government-compliant accounting system and cybersecurity compliance and can perform ITAR and other confidential work.
