Robert Chau, Intel

Robert Chau, Ph.D., is the director of Components Research organization in Technology Development and a Senior Fellow at Intel Corporation. A 30-year Intel veteran, Chau is responsible for internal R&D and external collaborations to enable future process and packaging technology options for Moore’s Law continuation and beyond. He holds more than 460 issued U.S. patents and was the recipient of the 2015 Intel Inventor of the Year award. Chau received numerous semiconductor industry awards including several SEMI awards and the 2012 IEEE Jun-ichi Nishizawa Medal. He is an IEEE Fellow and an elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.
