DAN KIM

Dan Kim is the Senior International Economist for the Office of Industries at the U.S. International Trade Commission. In this role, he leads the Office of Industries’ research on various international trade topics, providing direction for fact finding investigations for the United States Trade Representative (USTR), and Congressional Committees (House Ways and Means, and Senate Finance). Prior to his current position, Dan led the Commission’s analysis on trade and competitiveness topics related to the semiconductors, information and communications technology industries, as well as on advanced manufacturing.

Previously, Dan was the Senior Economist for the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), where he held an advisory role for senior executives in Seoul and Washington D.C. He holds M.Phil and PhD degrees from the University of Cambridge, where he also taught courses on economics, and international trade.
