A Network for Skilling Next Generation Workers

The SEMI Career and Apprenticeship Network (SCAN), is Registered Apprenticeship program created specifically for the microelectronics industry. SCAN is a program for entry-level technicians, operators and professionals that teaches both the foundational and specialized skills needed for the well-paid, high-demand jobs in microelectronics.

SCAN’s partnership model includes employers, colleges and universities, workforce development boards, community-based organizations, training institutions, government departments, labor unions, and support service providers, with the SEMI Foundation as the backbone organization. SCAN also engages students in low-income, Title 1 school communities through its pre-apprenticeship program to ensure a strong pipeline of diverse talent learns about the industry and joins the apprenticeship program.
