Dear SEMI Standards Program Members,
I am pleased to announce that effective September 2, 2020, SEMI has completed development of the necessary infrastructure for implementation of Official Virtual TC Chapter Meetings. Accordingly, the transition period defined in Procedure Manual § 4.3.6 has started.
All TC Chapters of a Global Technical Committee are now required to conduct a simulation of an Official Virtual TC Chapter Meeting, either in a face-to-face meeting or via an online training session to familiarize Program Members with the Virtual Meeting software.
An Official Virtual TC Chapter Meeting can be held as soon as all TC Chapters in a Global Technical Committee complete the simulation exercise. All Program Members will then be able to participate and vote in any TC Chapter meeting remotely.
Additional instructions will be provided with upcoming TC Chapter meeting announcements.
