BIOGRAPHY
Ian J. Brown has focused on substrate clean and etch in his 21 years in semiconductor manufacturing equipment hardware and application development. Ian started his career with the high pressure challenge of supercritical carbon dioxide cleaning before he transitioned to wet and vapor etch development and managed their introduction into high volume manufacturing. In his current role, VP Engineering at SCREEN SPE USA, Ian leads a team engaged with customers to introduce new clean and etch formulations for selective clean and etch processes for thin films and leading efforts to improve the sustainability of wet processing in customer fabs. Ian is based in Hillsboro, OR and holds a Ph.D. Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK.
