Christoph Adelmann obtained a PhD degree in condensed matter physics in 2002 from Université Joseph Fourier Grenoble for work at the CEA Grenoble. Until 2006, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota, working on spintronic materials and devices. He subsequently joined imec where he is currently working as a Principal Scientist in the Thin Films Group on metallic and dielectric materials as well as on novel devices for nanoelectronic applications. He has authored or co-authored over 200 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings, as well as 4 granted patents and 8 patent applications.
