Jan Gaudestad is San Francisco based VP of Business Development for Wooptix, a light field imaging company headquartered in Tenerife, Spain, developing advanced technology for the semiconductor metrology equipment market. He also serves as board member at Elevate Semiconductors, a small pin electronics test IC company based in San Diego, California.
Prior to Wooptix, he was Director of BD at uSens, a VR startup that raised $20 million in 2016. Prior to uSens, he spent a year on strategic accounts with Tier 1 mobile device customers for motion sensors at InvenSense (now TDK). He spent 14 years at Neocera, a failure analysis semiconductor equipment maker that raised $13 million in 2001 aimed at commercializing a superconducting magnetic field imaging system from his graduate university research. His work at Neocera focused mainly on business development for semi equipment, applications development and worldwide sales and customer support.
Jan Gaudestad received his MBA from Santa Clara University in 2009 with a focus on finance. He earned a master’s degree in Physics in 2001 from University of Maryland, College Park, and a master’s degree in 2000 from the Physics Department at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway, studying the applications of superconductors.
