Al Thompson will join Intel as vice president of U.S. Government Relations and assume leadership of Intel’s governmental relations effort at the U.S. federal and state levels.
Al comes to Intel from Raytheon Technologies Inc. (RTX), where he led the government relations team for the commercial aerospace and space businesses.
Prior to joining RTX, he worked at Mehlman, Vogel, Castagnetti developing and executing advocacy strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Global Supply Chain Policy at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).
Thompson also worked in the U.S. House of Representatives, serving as a Senior Professional Staff member on the Committee on Homeland Security for Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS).
Thompson served five years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He has a B.S. degree in Government from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a Master of Arts in Legislative Affairs from George Washington University.
