BIOGRAPHY

RobRob Sanger joined the SEMI Foundation in January 2024 as Program Manager for Workforce & Training in California, where he leads efforts to strengthen the semiconductor and microelectronics talent pipeline. In this role, Rob focuses on expanding the Foundation’s capacity to design and scale Registered Apprenticeship Programs, upskill incumbent workers, and align industry needs with public workforce investments. Central to his work is building strong partnerships with SEMI member companies, government agencies, education providers, and workforce intermediaries.

Prior to SEMI, Rob served as Director of Workforce Programs at the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA), overseeing workforce marketing, sales, training, and strategic planning.

Earlier in his career, Rob was a Program Manager at Applied Materials, bringing valuable industry perspective to his current work bridging employers, policymakers, and training providers. Altogether, Rob brings more than 20 years of experience in workforce development, training strategy, and public‑private collaboration.
