Presentation Title: Equipping for the sustainability journey through awareness, assessment, and action

In an era where sustainability has become a global shared responsibility, organizations must proactively navigate the challenges and opportunities of this rapidly evolving environment. A structured approach to embarking on the sustainability journey will be introduced in this talk, emphasizing three critical stages: awareness, assessment and action. Awareness involves understanding where an organisation stands in terms of incorporating sustainability into their businesses and knowing where to go next. Assessment centres on quantifying environmental impacts through rigorous analysis, including life cycle assessments and carbon footprint calculations, to identify opportunities for improvement. Finally, action emphasizes implementing changes and solutions guided by data to achieve meaningful and measurable progress toward sustainability goals. By leveraging this three-pronged framework, organizations can enhance their competitive edge, remain relevant and contribute positively to global sustainability efforts.
