Head of Business Development Renewables - APAC TotalEnergies
Grégory Thomassin, born in 1984, is a graduate of AgroParisTech and IFP School, where he earned his master’s degrees in Environmental Engineering as well as in Energy Economics and Finance (First Class Honors), respectively.
He joined TotalEnergies in 2023 following the acquisition of Total Eren and is currently leading the Business Development team for Renewable Energy in APAC.
From September 2019 to October 2020, Grégory was based in Paris as the Director of Project Finance at Total Eren. In 2021, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer – Head of Project Finance for APAC, in charge of the finance, development, construction and operation of all projects in the region. Prior to this he was a Vice President at MUFG bank in London advising and financing renewable energy projects in EMEA (Offshore / onshore wind and solar).
Grégory has more than 15 years of experience in renewable energy investments. He has been involved in more than 5GW worth of projects around the world, including large-scale solar PV projects in the Middle East and led various high-profile mandates on offshore wind farms in Europe.
He has previously held various roles in project finance banks, development banks, and financial advisories internationally.
