Bob Soave earned his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University, where his research focused on understanding feature-scale transport and surface kinetics in thermal and plasma-enhanced CVD processes. He also holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from RPI. He has over 35 years of diverse technical experience in the semiconductor industry in both R&D and manufacturing environments. He joined TEL in 1997 as US Marketing Manager for their Thin Film Deposition product line and contributed to TEL’s expansion in the US market. His most recent work focuses on understanding the industry’s challenges as Moore’s Law becomes asymptotic, and positioning TEL’s products in the segments that will emerge from this unprecedented paradigm shift.
