This collection contains presentations by Fisher Zhu, Director of China Marketing at GlobalFoundaries, Tony Tung, Sales Director at Mobileye, and Chih-Ping Chang of Siemens, which were given during SEMICON China 2018 Smart Manufacturing conference in March in Shanghai, China.
“Accelerating China Semiconductor Industry with GlobalFoundaries Smart Manufacture” gives a GlobalFoundaries story of industry leadership and global presence for semiconductor manufacturing, eliminating the risk and cost of manufacturing and driving full automation to prevent further risk and error. Controls strategy is built for early identification of defects and sources of variation and can quantify wafer risk exposure. IoT at GlobalFoundaries offers High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) by exploiting Big Data and AI, and Industry 4.0 can be implemented as well for increased throughput, higher yield, improved efficiency, and reduced downtime.
“Mobileye – World Leader in Collision Avoidance Technology” discusses Mobileye as a world leader in ADAS, boasting over twenty-five million vehicles equipped with its technology. Mobileye believes that fully autonomous cars will only be possible through mastery of three technology pillars: sensing, mapping, and driving policy. Mapping, or REM, uses localization and crowd-sourcing (many pictures are shown). Products are showcased, including after-market, single camera/dasboard display, and multi-camera for large vehicles traveling through urban areas. An independent actuary study is shown, suggesting Mobileye’s after-market ADAS has significant value for insurance companies both in safety (reducing claims/cost) and data harvesting.
