Mandar Deshpande, PhD is the Director of Strategic Marketing at Veeco Process Equipment. In this role in the office of CMO/CTO he is responsible identifying, analyzing and developing strategic plan for equipment technologies to address emerging process technology trends in the 5G, Semiconductor front end, photonics and advance packaging markets.
Mandar joined Veeco in 2007 and has held several technical and management positions in technology & product development for wafer deposition and etch equipment including ALD, CVD, MOCVD, PVD and ion beam etch. Most recently he was in the position of Director of Technology Development for MOCVD equipment serving RF, WBG power, LED and photonics market segments.
Mandar earned a holds a PhD and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
