Amit Mittra is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Himax Imaging, where he leads the R&D and Engineering team in the architecture, design and testing of CMOS image sensors and image processing for consumer, computing, IoT, medical and automotive applications. He also leads the long-term technology roadmap and is responsible for the company’s applied research and incubation program.
Prior to Himax Imaging, Mr. Mittra held the position of Image Sensor and Mixed Signal Designer for Biomorphic, a startup company formed by imaging executives and scientists from Rockwell Science Center. Mr. Mittra has more than 20 years of experience in the field of image sensor, holds over 20 U.S. and international patents and commercialized more than 35 image sensor products. Mr. Mittra holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
