MEMS and Systems in the Digital Future
In this presentation, after a short introduction of the Jacobs School of Engineering at UC San Diego, the speaker will address the large scale systems needs of the digital future and the roles that MEMS technology will play. The systems of the digital future will be implemented in smart cities and include new forms of wireless communications, wearable sensors, driver assistance packages and autonomous vehicles. The presentation will close with an example of using one entire university campus as a living laboratory for these systems.
