Digitizing Dirt to Dinner with the Blockchain of Food and Sensors
Ripe.io is altering the trajectory of the food system through blockchain technology and the Internet of Things. By designing a radically transparent digital food supply chain, ripe.io harnesses quality food data to create an unprecedented food quality network that maps the food journey to answer what’s in our food, where it comes from, and what has happened to it. We leverage sensors to monitor, capture and analyze data at various steps of the supply chain (e.g. soil conditions, transport conditions, etc.). We associate this data to the events along the supply chain to better understand how these conditions relate to taste.
