Pioneering the Internet of Biology with BioMEMS
Cardea is pioneering a new branch of communication: the Internet of Biology. Cardea’s proprietary graphene field effect biosensor can directly integrate bio-molecules into electronic circuitry, allowing for an all-electronic readout of biochemical function. This enables new opportunities in applied biology, such as food quality control, drug testing, and medical and veterinary medicine, as well as new forms of insight into biology, such as the recently announced CRISPR-Chip, which combines the power of CRISPR with electronic signal processing and sensitivity to allow a user to “Google their Genome.” At this presentation, Ross Bundy, Co-Founder and Chief Production Officer at Cardea, will discuss the numerous opportunities afforded by the Internet of Biology, how they successfully built a graphene-electronic supply chain, and what the future of digital biology looks like.
