Wally Rhines is CEO of Silvaco, an EDA company specializing in TCAD, IP and the application of AI to semiconductor process development and yield improvement. Rhines was previously CEO of Cornami, a fabless semiconductor company, Mentor Graphics and Siemens EDA. He is a Lifetime Fellow of the IEEE, a member of the National Academy of Engineering and winner of the GSA Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award. He holds a BS in engineering from the University of Michigan, an MS and PhD in materials science and engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. As President of the Texas Instruments Data Systems Group, he managed the development of some of the first AI computers and software in the 1980's.
