Michelle Bourke - Lam Research

 

 

 

 

 

 

Michelle Bourke

Senior Director of Strategic Marketing, LAM Research

Michelle Bourke received her B.Sc. degree in Optoelectronics and Laser Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, UK.  Subsequently she joined the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA), where she worked on advanced processing methods for GaAs/AlGaAs optoelectronic devices. In 1997 she entered the semiconductor capital equipment industry as a technologist and has since accrued more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor technology, strategy, and new product development. She is a specialist in fabrication technologies for MEMS, Power Devices, RF Electronics and Optoelectronics.

Michelle is a frequent presenter at leading industry forums and also serves on many committees and industry councils. In November of 2018, she was inducted into the Semi MEMS and Sensors Industry Group Hall of Fame and is currently Chair of the Semi MEMS Manufacturing Working Group and Co-chair of the Semi MEMs Standards Committee.

Michelle Joined Lam Research in 2015 and is currently Senior Director of Strategic Marketing in Lam’s Customer Support Business Group.

Dr. Alissa Fitzgerald

Founder & Managing Member, A.M. Fitzgerald & Associates, LLC

Dr. Fitzgerald founded the company in 2003. She has over 25 years of engineering experience in MEMS design, fabrication and product development. Prior to founding AMFitzgerald, Dr. Fitzgerald worked in engineering positions at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Orbital Sciences Corporation, Sigpro, and Sensant Corporation, now part of Siemens. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from MIT and her Ph.D. from Stanford University in Aeronautics and Astronautics. She is a member of the SEMI-MSIG standards committee and served as a board director on the MEMS Industry Group (MIG) Governing Council from 2008-2014. In 2013, she was inducted into the MIG Hall of Fame. She is currently a board director of Rigetti Computing and of the Transducer Research Foundation.

 

Carolyn D. White, Ph.D.

Associate,  A.M. Fitzgerald & Associates, LLC

Dr. White has a background in mechanics of materials and specializes in the design and fabrication of MEMS devices for a wide range of range of applications, which have included electrostatic actuators, microfluidics, and piezoelectric devices. She has additional experience in technology strategic analysis including of the evaluation of patent portfolios, feasibility studies, and cost/performance analysis. With over 15 years of experience in MEMS, Dr. White previously worked for Lucent Technologies and she is an active member of the MEMS & Sensors Industry Group, previously serving on its Technical Advisory Committee. Dr. White received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
