MILPITAS, Calif. ─ July 2, 2024 ─ SEMI, the industry association serving the global electronics manufacturing and design supply chain, today announced the formation of a governing council for its Smart MedTech Initiative that will guide the initiative in its vision to revolutionize global healthcare through innovation, democratization, and pioneering advances in preventative care.
“The Healthcare Revolution will shift from a provider-centric to a personalized care model with success critically dependent upon microelectronics and related technology,” said Gity Samadi, SEMI Smart MedTech initiative lead. “Our newly elected Smart MedTech Governing Council will advise on the initiative’s efforts to provide funding, knowledge, and collaboration opportunities to proactively build an ecosystem that can drive healthcare and medical electronics innovation toward products that serve society faster.”
