ABSTRACT

This keynote presentation will discuss how sensors play a critical role in AI, including how X uses sensors today in several of its AI moonshots, how X uses AI in semiconductor design today, and the future of AI and sensors including how AI could be used to design MEMS/sensors.


BIOGRAPHY

Dan Cohen, Google X

Dan helps drive the transformation of X’s deep tech R&D moonshots into commercial businesses, applying AI to solve intractable problems and create outsized value in AI infrastructure, semiconductors, supply chain, and biotech.

Dan is a five-time founder-CEO, with a passion for and deep commitment to guiding early-stage ventures from concept to scale. He has also held executive leadership roles in product management, product development, strategic partnerships, and business operations. His experience spans multiple technology domains including hardware, software, web, and biotech and in markets including enterprise, consumer, and healthcare.

Dan holds a dual BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the coauthor of eight patents including innovations in ophthalmic medical devices, mobile communications, user interfaces, security, presence, messaging, and peer-to-peer networks.
