50%+ Kura’s founding and core team are MIT alums, from MIT professor in EECS and the former CTO of KLA, to the co-inventor of DSL (acquired by TI) and founding CTO of Leapfrog (IPO at $B+), Phd and postDoc in electro-optics, AI, computer language and compiler design and math. With 3 lead engineers they have 400+ patents, and shipped products in volume in hundreds of millions, from GoPro, Microsoft Surface & Hololens, Omnivision cameras, Nest, Rings, Intel motherboard, to the DSL internet.
BIOGRAPHY
Kelly Peng is the Founder and CEO of Kura Technologies. She holds more than 15 patents for her inventions and has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Neuroscience and Business from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Ms. Peng is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Alumni.
