BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Philippe Monnoyer is part of the commercial operations team at VTT in Finland. He has extensive multidisciplinary experience in MEMS, sensors, and imaging technologies. At VTT, he has led operations in microelectronics, MEMS, and sensors, and the associated cleanrooms. He has also played a key role in business development, driving the commercialization of VTT’s most promising technologies.
Prior to this, Dr. Monnoyer, who holds a Ph.D. in chemistry, worked on microfabrication process development for Motorola and Freescale Semiconductors, micro-lithography at imec, and photographic and holographic recording films and plates for holography and Lippmann interferential photography at the Space Center of Liège and the Rowland Institute at Harvard (U.S.).
Since 2023, Dr. Monnoyer has served as the chair of the SEMI MEMS & Imaging Sensor Summit and sits on the executive committees of the SEMI MSTC and MSEC events. He was previously the general chair of the IEEE-Whispers hyperspectral conference and now acts as the industrial liaison for the event.
He speaks on topics such as the revolution in hyperspectral imaging powered by AI and advancements in health technology. As a thought leader in these fields, he is shaping the future of hyperspectral imaging and select health technologies.
