AI Applications to Enhance MEMS Inertial Sensors in Aerospace

ABSTRACT

The aerospace community is growing at an exponential rate. Uncrewed Aerial Systems and Advanced Air Mobility vehicles are set to revolutionize the way we travel and transport goods. A key requirement for these vehicles is a resilient and robust navigation capability. Navigation when GPS is jammed, denied or spoofed is one of the most important challenges to solve for these vehicles. In this presentation we will cover recent research showing how AI is being used to provide new levels of performance for MEMS inertial sensors that could enable low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) GPS Denied Navigation capabilities.
