Bio
Thurston is a Navy Veteran with 24 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing. Starting as an etch maintenance technician at Motorola, completing Computer Science and MIS degrees, led to work at Tokyo Electron as software tech support and remote services manager, eventually leading to development and management of TELeMetrics remote services. Working for BISTel as Global OEM Business Director, he coordinated efforts for equipment manufacturer application development across many leading equipment companies, moving into marketing and sales of predictive maintenance solutions outside of the semiconductor industry. Now located in Tokyo, Thurston works as a marketing technologist in TEL’s Advanced Data Planning group, focused on next generation application and service development. He is also a Member of the SEMI Smart Manufacturing Council and SEMI Smart Manufacturing Executive Council.
