Abstract:

There is a wave of innovation happening across the broader manufacturing space that is powered by creating full digital replicas of entire manufacturing environments – from equipment, to processes, to supply chains, to distribution networks, to the people involved.  These digital replicas, or digital twins, enable realtime operational visibility – but also bring a set of new breakthrough capabilities: including the ability to simulate any possibility to goal seek optimizations, applying continually improving autonomous control, interacting with equipment on the shop floor with the full context from its digital replica and more.
