Abstract:

Milton Friedman famously said that no single person in the world could make a simple pencil.  Compared to pencils, designing and making semiconductors useful for the world is a modern miracle.  But sustaining the necessary pace of innovation to drive semiconductor technology forward is increasingly challenging.  GPUs are fast becoming an accelerated computing platform technology that is being adopted from end-to-end in design, simulation, and manufacturing.
