BIOGRAPHY
Masaru leads McKinsey’s Semiconductor Practice in Asia and is a core member of the Advanced Industries leadership team. He partners with clients across sectors on operational, transformational, and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining McKinsey, Masaru co-founded and served as Chief Scientist of a private-equity-backed cleantech startup in the US. He has authored more than 20 publications in leading scientific journals and served as a principal investigator for a research program supported by the U.S. Department of Energy. Masaru holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Applied Physics from Harvard University.
