BIOGRAPHY
Marco Pieters joined ASML in 1999 and during his career at ASML held various positions in Development & Engineering, Product Management and Program Management for DUV, Holistic Lithography and EUV products.
He was appointed Chief Technology Officer in 2025 and a member of ASML’s Board of Management in 2026. Previously, he was Executive Vice President (EVP) of Business Line Applications (2023-2026), EVP of Business Line EUV NXE (2021-2023), Senior Vice President of EUV Product Marketing (2018-2021) and Senior Director Program Manager for Holistic Lithography, which extended the capability of both DUV and EUV scanners to meet new node requirements.
Marco received a MSc cum laude in Technical Mathematics from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands.
